September's position report marks the second month of the 2024/2025 marketing year. Crop receipts to date: 1,035,037,391 lbs up +65.50% over last year.

September's new crop receipts bring the 2024 Total Marketable Supply to 1,516,986,844 lbs, up +7.35% over last year.

Following the December position report we run a forward projection on ABC form 1 crop receipts every month to get an idea of the total size of the crop.

The methodology we use for our crop receipt projections differs from our in-season machine learning forecasts. Our 2024 in-season forecasts are complete and have not been updated since we released a final forecast in July.
