### 📈 Almond Crop Receipts down over 2022

September's position report marks the second month of the 2023/2024 marketing year. Crop receipts to date: 625,396,689 lbs down -36.09% over last year.

The monthly new crop received per ABC form 1 reporting

- **September: 555,265,812 lbs** up +691.76% over August
- **August: 70,130,877 lbs**

### 📊 TMS, Shipments & Commitments

September's new crop receipts bring the 2023 Total Marketable Supply to 1,413,181,092 lbs, down -21.30% over last year.

2023/2024 % TMS shipped to date: 30.41% up +3.12% over last year  
2023/2024 % Sold to date: 78.11% up +17.82% over last year

### 🚢 2023 Shipments

September's total shipments: 217,666,427 lbs up +15.54% over September last year and up +2.67% over last month's August shipments: 212,012,536 lbs.

2023/2024 total shipments to date: 429,678,963 lbs up +3.12% over last year

### 🔮 Future Demand

Total new sales for September: 269,893,300 lbs, up +12.37% over September 2022 new sales of 240,180,289 lbs.

Following the December position report we run a forward projection on ABC form 1 crop receipts every month to get an idea of the total size of the crop.

Our 2023 in-season forecasts are complete and have not been updated since we released a final forecast in July.
