### 📈 Almond Crop Receipts Down Over 2022

June's position report marks the eleventh month of the 2023/2024 marketing year. Crop receipts to date:  2,445,715,728 lbs down-4.78% over last year.

- **June 6,060,570** up 1278.02% over May
- **May: 439,803 lbs**

### 📊 TMS, Shipments & Commitments

June's new crop receipts bring the 2023 Total Marketable Supply to 3,197,093,750 lbs, down -4.68% over last year.

2023/2024 % TMS shipped to date: 78.59% up +6.32% over last month up +7.69% over last year.

2023/2024 % Sold to date:89.44% up +2.73% over last month and up +5.10% over last year.

### 🚢 2023 Shipments

June's shipments: 206,164,6273 lbs down -8.80% over last month and up +10.48% over last year.

2023/2024 total shipments to date: 2,512,546,706 lbs up +5.66% over last year.

### 🔮 Future Demand

Total new sales for June: 92,373,837 lbs down -31.16% over last month and down -40.29% over last year.

### 📈 Crop Receipt Projections

Following the December position report we run a forward projection on ABC form 1 crop receipts to get an idea of the total size of the crop.

The methodology we use for our crop receipt projections is different from our [in-season machine learning forecasts](https://medium.com/@BountifulAg/forget-everything-you-know-about-forecasting-81b28ca05d2d?utm_source=hs_email&utm_medium=email&_hsenc=p2ANqtz--ysKh1A6_W5GpKtM9OylXtLllLCWgEJUXOCKBgvELZ2L-XVT2GjTBY4X4vxMuD6tsRnEOE). Our 2023 in-season forecasts are complete and have not been updated since we released a final forecast in July.

For our crop receipt projection, we only use ABC form 1 crop receipt data for current and historical years. The model we use looks for a pattern in how crop receipts are coming in month over month.

As of June ABC form 1 crop receipts, final crop receipts are projected to be 2.446 - 2.448 B lbs. You can reference this in the image below 2023/2024 marketing year is in pink, and the projection is light blue.
