📈 Almond Crop Receipts down over 2024

August's position report marks the start of the 2025/2026 marketing year. Crop receipts to date: 259,029,819 lbs down -10.71% over last year.

🚢 2025 Shipments

August's total shipments: 157,803,868 lbs, down -6.23% over August last year.

⚖️ Carry-Out

The final 2024 Carry-Out is 483,806,300 Lbs, down -1.96%, from the estimated Carry-Out per July 2025 position report

15.46% Carry-Out as a % of Total Marketable Supply (TMS) and
18.28% Carry-Out as a % of Total Shipments.

*Note, ABC finalized Loss & Exempt for 2024, actual L&E of 3.14% versus the 2% forecasted L&E figure resulting in a negative adjustment of 31,062,178 pounds on Carry-Out.

August New Crop and Carry-In from 2024 bring the 2025 beginning Total Marketable Supply to 737,655,523 lbs, down -6.26% over last year.

Following the December position report we run a forward projection on ABC form 1 crop receipts every month to get an idea of the total size of the crop.

The methodology we use for our crop receipt projections differs from our in-season machine learning forecasts. Our 2025 in-season forecasts are complete and have not been updated since we released a final forecast in July.
